Role Overview

The Applied AI Engineer will construct artificial intelligence solutions to automate operational workflows, enhance products, and minimize manual tasks for the financial platform. This position requires someone who can transition prototypes into dependable production systems rather than focusing solely on theoretical research.

Key Responsibilities

Construct artificial intelligence powered workflows, assistants, agents, and automation systems.
Implement artificial intelligence across customer support, CRM, onboarding, claims, renewals, payments, operations, and internal tools.
Cooperate with product and engineering groups to convert manual procedures into scalable artificial intelligence driven architectures.
Develop connections with large language models, internal data, application programming interfaces, documents, knowledge bases, and enterprise systems.
Plan evaluation, monitoring, and fallback mechanisms to ensure outputs remain dependable, safe, and practical.
Prototype rapidly, evaluate with users or operators, and productionize functional concepts.
Enhance speed, quality, and consistency across procedures where artificial intelligence delivers measurable business value.

Requirements

Solid software engineering background, with a preference for Python and backend systems.
Practical background creating solutions using large language model application programming interfaces, agents, retrieval-augmented generation, workflow automation, or artificial intelligence tools.
Capability to link artificial intelligence architectures with actual product, data, and operational procedures.
Good judgment regarding the appropriate application of artificial intelligence versus rule-based logic or human oversight.
Understanding of evaluation, accuracy, latency, expense, privacy, and failure scenarios.
Ability to rapidly prototype, test, and release functional systems.
Fluent English communication skills.
Mandatory physical residence in Austria.
