Role Overview

This position focuses on building functional applications that automate workflows and enhance financial services rather than conducting theoretical research. The professional in this role will collaborate with engineering and product groups to deliver reliable capabilities into production.

Key Responsibilities

Construct automation workflows, tools, agents, and utilities targeting operational, product, and customer challenges.
Implement retrieval mechanisms, large language models, guardrails, evaluations, and tool invocation for practical financial processes.
Develop intelligent features for onboarding, document processing, customer support, know-your-customer checks, risk assessment, customer relationship management, and product intelligence.
Collaborate with product and engineering colleagues to determine project scopes and ship features rapidly.
Optimize systems around security, accuracy, latency, compliance, hallucination management, and user trust.
Convert manual tasks into scalable, reliable automated architectures.

Requirements

Practical engineering capability focused on implementation rather than solely strategy or management.
Background in developing large language model applications, retrieval-augmented generation systems, AI agents, automated workflows, or copilots.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
Sound judgment regarding automation feasibility and production reliability.
Ability to test quality, deploy working systems, and enhance performance over time.
Strong English communication skills, as English serves as the primary working language.
Availability to work on a hybrid schedule from the Malaysia office at least three days per week.

Nice to Have
