Role Overview

The Applied AI Engineer creates artificial intelligence systems designed to automate actual workflows, reduce manual tasks, and enhance financial services products. This position focuses heavily on production engineering rather than purely theoretical research.

Key Responsibilities

Construct automation workflows, tools, agents, and systems addressing operational, product, and customer challenges.
Implement retrieval mechanisms, large language models, tool calling, guardrails, and evaluations for financial tasks.
Develop artificial intelligence features for onboarding, document management, risk review, support, KYC, CRM, product intelligence, and operations.
Collaborate alongside engineering and product units to determine valuable features and ship them rapidly to production environments.
Optimize system design around constraints like latency, cost, security, compliance, hallucinations, accuracy, and user trust.
Scale manual procedures into dependable automated architectures.

Requirements

Practical software development capability focused on building rather than management or strategy.
Background in developing large language model applications, retrieval-augmented generation systems, automation workflows, copilots, or artificial intelligence agents.
Proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript, Python, JavaScript, or comparable practical technology stacks.
Sound decision-making regarding task automation.
Capability to ship functioning software, measure quality, and enhance system dependability.
Full-time availability with residency in India and strong English communication skills.

Nice to Have

Background in fintech, banking, fraud detection, risk management, support automation, KYC, CRM, or operations automation.
