Role Overview

bjakcareer is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to join the team and develop production-ready artificial intelligence solutions. This position focuses on building functional systems rather than conducting theoretical research. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with product and operations teams to automate manual processes and improve financial services.

Key Responsibilities

Construct autonomous agents, specialized workflows, and automation utilities to address operational and product challenges.
Implement large language models, retrieval mechanisms, guardrails, and automated evaluations for financial use cases.
Develop intelligent features for customer onboarding, identity verification, risk assessment, customer support, and document management.
Partner with engineering groups to determine priorities, ship software rapidly, and refine performance in production.
Architect applications while accounting for accuracy, operational costs, latency, security, and compliance.

Requirements

Demonstrate direct engineering capabilities in designing artificial intelligence applications, retrieval-augmented generation systems, and automated workflows.
Write production code using Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or comparable practical programming languages.
Possess the ability to ship functional systems, measure quality, and enhance reliability over extended periods.
Communicate effectively in English across global teams.
Reside physically in Sweden.
