Role Overview

The Android Software Engineer manages the Android client experience and determines how artificial intelligence performs on mobile devices. The position involves building production applications where artificial intelligence interactions form the core of the software.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain production Android applications using Kotlin
Integrate artificial intelligence features including chat, vision, voice, and recommendations through backend application programming interfaces
Design user experience patterns for artificial intelligence interactions such as streaming responses, retries, and partial results
Optimize performance, memory usage, and responsiveness for artificial intelligence heavy flows
Implement analytics, logging, and feedback capture to support evaluation and iteration
Collaborate with backend and machine learning engineers on application programming interface contracts and system behavior
Ensure stability, security, and scalability in production environments

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of Android development experience utilizing Kotlin
Hands-on experience integrating artificial intelligence features such as large language models, vision, and speech application programming interfaces
Understanding of asynchronous programming including Coroutines and Flow
Familiarity with REST or gRPC application programming interfaces and structured data formats
Debugging and performance profiling skills
Experience building in environments involving latency, partial failure, and non-deterministic behavior
Experience with MLKit or light on-device inference
Published production applications on the Google Play Store
