Role Overview

Galaxy is seeking an Analyst/Associate, OnChain Operations to execute and oversee digital asset activities from the Hong Kong office. The professional in this role will serve as the primary operator during Asia hours, managing onchain positions, monitoring risk factors, and collaborating closely with global teams in New York and London. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes proactive ownership of operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Execute and monitor onchain transactions during Asia business hours utilizing Fireblocks or similar institutional custody systems, covering staking, borrowing, lending, and liquidity pool deployments across Solana, EVM networks, and other layer one networks.
Act as the main Hong Kong hours operator for company onchain positions by tracking health factors, handling collateral, and starting unwinds when necessary.
Setup and oversee protocol watchlists within Hypernative or equivalent threat detection tools, creating custom monitors for loan-to-value proximity, oracle settings, and yield alerts.
Perform thorough due diligence on emerging protocols and yield avenues prior to capital deployment, assessing smart contract security, liquidity, governance, and past incidents, then report findings to internal teams.
Partner with the technology division to assist with onchain infrastructure development, including automation pipelines, webhook-driven execution tools, and new network integrations.
Keep documentation up to date regarding operational steps, protocol settings, and active onchain positions.
Utilize artificial intelligence tools like generative AI and data copilots to enhance daily productivity, operational workflows, and output quality.

Requirements

Possess at least two years of direct, hands-on decentralized finance experience, having personally conducted transactions across decentralized exchanges, lending platforms, and other onchain products.
Knowledge of institutional DeFi risk principles, such as liquidation thresholds, health factors, and oracle risks.
Strong capability to review onchain data through blockchain explorers, remote procedure calls, or data application programming interfaces.
High attention to detail with the ability to function accurately in time-sensitive situations.
Self-starter mentality with the skill to independently spot operational gaps and create effective solutions.
Capable of working autonomously during Hong Kong hours while communicating clearly with global stakeholders.

Nice to Have

Prior background using Python or comparable tooling for querying on-chain data.
Familiarity with Fireblocks or alternative institutional custody solutions.
Comfort level utilizing large language models as productivity aids for operational automation, scripting, and data analysis.
