About this role
The day-to-day work for the AI Software Engineer involves designing, prototyping, and deploying AI solutions that directly enhance Zone & Co's core business products and operations. This role centers on building scalable, production-ready AI systems that integrate intelligence directly into the ERP platform to automate and streamline complex financial workflows across the full financial lifecycle. Engineers will collaborate extensively with product managers and data scientists to translate business needs into functional AI features and work alongside other engineers to ensure robust system integration.
This position exists to provide the AI operating system for finance teams using NetSuite, enabling over 4,500 customers globally to operate more efficiently. The core function is to move finance teams from reactive processes to proactive, strategic impact by embedding real-time financial intelligence. It is ideal for a technically curious individual who is driven by solving complex problems using artificial intelligence and is committed to delivering measurable business value.

What you will do
- Design, prototype, and implement AI systems tailored for specific real-world business applications.
- Construct and deploy complete end-to-end AI/ML pipelines for key product features.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to deliver integrated AI solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code using specified programming languages.
- Integrate developed AI/ML models into both backend and frontend applications.
- Analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making.
- Monitor and optimize deployed models to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Lead experimentation and prototyping efforts to test novel ideas and algorithms.
What you need
- Possesses at least two years of software engineering experience specifically focused on AI/ML applications.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Must have hands-on experience with LLMs, agents, and frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, or DSPy.
- Proficiency in Python is required, with familiarity in JavaScript or similar languages being beneficial.
- A strong understanding of both relational (SQL) and non-relational databases is necessary.
- Demonstrated experience deploying AI systems within production environments.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities are essential.
- Must possess excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
