Role Overview

GuidePoint Security seeks a remote AI Security Engineer for the North Central region. The professional in this position will assist customers with generative AI security solutions, governance assessments, and architecture reviews while collaborating with application security, cloud security, and identity teams.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct secure configuration reviews and security assessments of enterprise AI platforms against established control domains.
Lead threat modeling exercises for AI workloads covering prompt injection, model inversion, and privilege escalation.
Assess AI coding tools and development environments for sandbox isolation and network egress controls.
Advise client teams on securely integrating SaaS AI services and APIs into enterprise applications.
Evaluate and recommend controls for data ingestion pipelines, RAG architectures, and vector databases.
Conduct shadow AI discovery engagements to inventory unsanctioned tool usage.
Evaluate security controls and guardrails across AI platforms including DLP and SIEM integrations.
Design, build, and deploy AI agent workflows and reference architectures.
Develop client deliverables including secure configuration reports, control matrices, and remediation roadmaps.
Monitor the emerging AI threat landscape to keep client guidance proactive.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in security engineering with a focus on cloud security or application security.
Hands-on experience securing and supporting agentic AI solutions and platforms within an enterprise setting.
Familiarity with major cloud provider AI-focused services such as AWS Bedrock, AWS SageMaker, Azure AI Foundry, or Google Vertex.
Understanding of generative AI concepts, LLMs, and foundational machine learning principles.
Operational experience using agentic coding assistants.
Knowledge of AI-specific security challenges like prompt injection, data poisoning, and supply chain security.
Ability to create professional client-facing documentation and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Nice to Have

Certifications such as AWS Certified AI Practitioner, AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer, Azure AI Engineer Associate, or Claude Certified Architect.
Understanding or experience with model fine-tuning techniques.
Experience with policy as code languages and Infrastructure as Code tools.
Experience designing agentic AI architectures balancing security and autonomy.
Familiarity with MCP client/server architecture and AI security tooling categories.
Prior experience in a consulting, professional services, or managed services delivery model.
