Role Overview

Mistral AI is seeking an AI Scientist for a full-time position located in Warsaw. This role centers on pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence by developing and scaling advanced models for enterprise and consumer use.

Key Responsibilities

Research and create novel methods to advance the capabilities of large language models.
Handle multiple use cases, including reasoning, agents, and code, alongside various modalities like text, speech, and images.
Construct infrastructure and tooling necessary for training, evaluating, and analyzing artificial intelligence models at scale.
Cooperate with cross-functional product teams, engineers, and fellow scientists to launch impactful systems.

Requirements

Demonstrate high proficiency as a software engineer in at least one language such as Python, Rust, Java, or Go.
Possess practical experience utilizing AI frameworks like PyTorch or distributed systems such as Kubernetes.
Exhibit strong engineering competence capable of designing complex software for production environments.
Operate autonomously as a self-starter while remaining a collaborative team player.

Nice to Have

Practical background in training large transformer models through distributed methods.
Familiarity with navigating the complete MLOps stack, covering fine-tuning, deployment, and evaluation.
A solid publication record within a relevant scientific field.
