Role Overview

42dot hires an AI Engineer for the Gleo Core team located in the Software Dream Center in Pangyo, South Korea. The position centers on developing large language model and agent systems for vehicular voice AI solutions. Professionals in this role focus on agent orchestration, function calling, memory-based personalization, and service quality optimization to support in-vehicle voice interactions.

Key Responsibilities

Build long-term memory, retrieval, personalization systems, and learning loops to utilize user interaction data and context.
Design context engineering and summarization strategies to handle restricted context windows and latency limits.
Develop proactive agent experiences by generating candidates for locations and media using context signals, providing timely notifications and reminders.
Establish closed-loop evaluation frameworks through offline assessments and online experiments to refine recommendation and intervention policies.
Implement reliable production capabilities by combining large language models, machine learning, statistical models, or rule-based systems.

Requirements

Master's degree or higher in computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
Minimum of four years of practical experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or software engineering.
Experience applying large language model and agentic artificial intelligence principles to live services.
History of analyzing production logs and data to identify problems and prioritize improvements.
Ability to structure and solve uncertain problems via hypothesis formulation, testing, and evaluation.
Software development skills in Python or Kotlin to design, implement, and operate production-grade systems with strong ownership and collaboration abilities.

Nice to Have

Research or development background in long-term memory, retrieval, user modeling, personalization, or recommendation systems.
Experience building context-aware or proactive assistants using context signals like schedules, locations, and movement patterns.
Experience creating data pipelines that extract feedback from user interactions to update user profiles or features.
Background optimizing recommendations and proactive interventions using ranking, contextual bandits, or sequential decision making.
Experience training large language models or machine learning models like ranking systems for service deployment.
Practice combining on-device and cloud artificial intelligence while adhering to privacy and sensitive data principles.
Experience evaluating and optimizing quality, intervention timing, latency, cost, and reliability in artificial intelligence systems.
