About this role
Balancing supply and demand across a rapidly scaling GPU fleet presents a significant operational hurdle for the Compute organization. This role exists to solve that challenge by designing and shipping AI-powered workflows that automate manual processes, data pipeline cleanups, and capacity investigations for the Compute and C3 teams.
Working directly at the center of capacity allocation and management, the engineer will audit existing internal tooling, identify gaps, and rapidly deploy custom automation using tools like Claude Code. Success in this position requires someone who thinks in systems rather than isolated solutions, anticipating upstream and downstream impacts while delivering reliable tools that give capacity analysts and engineers genuine operational leverage.
What you will do
- Design and deploy AI-powered agents and automations to handle repetitive tasks such as data pipeline cleanup, migration troubleshooting, and capacity investigations.
- Convert fleet utilization, allocation, and demand-forecasting data into functional dashboards, alerts, and actionable recommendations for leadership.
- Audit current internal tooling to identify overlap and gaps, generating an independent backlog and prioritizing work without a formal roadmap.
- Triage requests from supply, demand, and operations teams to ship productivity workflows rapidly.
- Evaluate problems to determine when to utilize point-and-click tools versus building bespoke AI solutions in Claude Code.
- Anticipate upstream and downstream system implications across engineering and operations to avoid creating future technical debt.
- Integrate third-party APIs and internal systems to ensure data flows reliably between tools like the CRM and core infrastructure.
- Document all built workflows thoroughly to ensure team-wide understanding and trust.
What you need
- Three or more years of experience in AI and automation engineering, workflow automation, or technical operations.
- Proven background in shipping production agents and custom internal apps with durable workflows and sandboxed execution on Vercel.
- Demonstrated fluency with AI coding assistants and agent tooling such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
- Direct working experience with a CRM or system-of-record platform like Salesforce.
- A documented track record of owning end-to-end AI and automation workflows from conception to deployment.
- Proficiency with integration and automation platforms including n8n, Zapier, Make, or Workato alongside a fundamental understanding of APIs and webhooks.
- Prior experience working in high-growth technology companies, particularly within infrastructure, cloud, or operations-heavy settings.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with GPU infrastructure, capacity planning, or fleet management concepts
- Comfort building reporting and alerting on data warehouses like BigQuery or Databricks and BI layers like Sigma or Hex
- Experience building with agent platforms such as Gumloop, Notion Agents, or frameworks like Vercel AI SDK, Claude Agent SDK, and Mastra
- Experience in high-stakes, operationally complex environments where mistakes impact the business
- Exposure to the operational core of a fast-scaling AI infrastructure company
Benefits
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents (U.S. only)
- Flexible PTO policy including company-wide Winter Break from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day
