Role Overview

The Agent Engineer position at Prodigal involves building and deploying production-ready large language model agents and voice agents for financial institutions. The professional will own the complete lifecycle of artificial intelligence systems from initial design to monitoring and iteration.

Key Responsibilities

Build and deploy LLM-powered AI agents and voice agents in production environments for real-world applications
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of artificial intelligence systems, covering problem scoping, design, deployment, monitoring, and continuous iteration
Design and optimize prompts, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, and evaluation frameworks to enhance accuracy, latency, and reliability
Collaborate directly with customers and Implementation Managers to understand workflows, resolve problems, and drive successful go-lives and iterations

Requirements

Possess 1 to 3 years of professional experience in backend, data, or AI engineering
Demonstrate strength in Python and SQL
Bring experience or exposure to large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, or prompt engineering
Exhibit high ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to ship quickly
Show readiness to work alongside customers and cross-functional teams

Nice to Have

B.Tech, BE, or M.Tech degree in Computer Science or a related field
Experience with production large language model systems or AI agents
Familiarity with evaluation methods, agent tooling, or voice artificial intelligence
Experience working with Databricks, MongoDB, or distributed systems
Background in startup or customer-facing engineering roles
