Role Overview

Chime Financial, Inc is hiring an AEO Content Strategist to own the content and citation work that wins in AI search. Operating out of San Francisco, CA, the role involves managing the company blog, running AI-powered content workflows, and earning brand coverage on third-party sources trusted by AI models. The strategist partners closely with the Principal, AI Search Strategy & SEO to hit specific visibility targets across priority banking categories.

Key Responsibilities

Own Chime's blog and editorial content plan for SEO and AEO, turning priority categories and prompt data into a sequenced roadmap for accurate citations in AI answers.
Run the editorial calendar and maintain a steady publishing cadence with structured, accurate product details in Contentful.
Lead content across Chime.com, including product launches and seasonal moments, while lifting conversion rates through inline CTAs and CRO testing.
Manage the daily relationship with AirOps and automate manual steps in the content lifecycle from drafting to publishing.
Lead offsite visibility with affiliate and publisher partners and manage the AI visibility budget to secure missing citations.
Move content through Legal, Compliance, and partner bank review queues using AI-assisted pre-review tools.
Coordinate with PR, Brand, Social, YouTube, and Help Center teams to ensure web accuracy and consistency.
Track citations, AI visibility by topic, rankings, traffic, and enrollments while running experiments on format and structure.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in editorial strategy, content strategy, or SEO content with a track record of growing organic visibility, traffic, or conversions.
Hands-on AEO/GEO knowledge regarding how LLMs and AI answer engines choose and cite sources.
Experience with AI content tools and workflows such as AirOps, Profound, or LLM-based writing tools.
Experience publishing in a regulated industry like financial services, fintech, insurance, or healthcare, including navigating legal and compliance review.
Hands-on experience with Contentful or another CMS, and Jira or similar ticket-based workflows.
Experience managing freelancers, agencies, or external partners across timelines, quality, and budget.
Strong writing, editing, and data-analysis skills.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders independently in a fast-changing environment.

Base salary range of $105,000 to $145,000 USD, with potential for bonuses, competitive equity, and benefits.
