GoFasti is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer for a remote position based in NY, preferably Manhattan, suited for an experienced developer with strong communication skills and proactive tendencies. Role Overview

GoFasti is acting as a Talent-as-a-Service provider to connect skilled professionals with global companies. This full-time contract role involves working remotely while allocated at the client organization. The selected candidate will handle various engineering tasks ranging from application architecture to AI integration and security implementations.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and develop a TypeScript monorepo containing a Next.js 16 web application and API, an Expo mobile application, and a Cloudflare Worker.
Manage a PostgreSQL and Prisma data model with multiple shared models and migration histories.
Build and oversee background systems including webhook handlers for Plaid, Stripe, and Linq, queued inbound-message batching, and scheduled jobs.
Handle security-sensitive paths such as encrypted bank tokens, chat content, per-user data scoping, and cross-platform authentication.
Develop the AI layer utilizing LLM tool-calling over financial data, long-term memory, and proactive insights.
Evaluate and review AI-generated code critically.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 years of overall experience as a software engineer, with at least 3 years shipping production TypeScript and Node backends.
Prior professional experience shipping work at a company handling financial transactions, bank data, or card data such as Plaid, Stripe Treasury, Unit, or payroll systems.
Advanced proficiency in PostgreSQL including zero-downtime migrations, indexes, transactions, and query plans.
Practical background in asynchronous systems handling idempotency, retries, webhook deduplication, and partial job failures.
Demonstrated security focus regarding personally identifiable information, encryption at rest, authentication tokens, and least privilege access.
Proven history of solo production ownership, including on-call duties, error tracking analysis, and root-cause writing.
Daily utilization of AI coding tools like Claude Code or Cursor alongside critical awareness of their limitations.
Exceptional written English proficiency suitable for clear pull request descriptions and incident reports.

Nice to Have

Production experience with Plaid webhooks, item re-authentication, and transaction sync cursors.
Practical deployment of LLMs featuring tool-calling, prompt evaluation, and cost and latency management.
Experience with Next.js App Router and React Server Components.
Familiarity with SMS or messaging compliance regulations like TCPA, or Stripe subscription billing.
Background in Expo and React Native development.
