Role Overview

GoFasti operates as a Talent-as-a-Service organization connecting Latin American developers with global companies. The Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer will handle a TypeScript monorepo, database models, background systems, security pathways, and artificial intelligence layers.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and develop a TypeScript monorepo containing a Next.js 16 web app and API, an Expo mobile app, and a Cloudflare Worker.
Manage a PostgreSQL and Prisma data model shared across multiple applications.
Build and maintain background systems including webhook handlers, queued inbound-message batching, and scheduled jobs.
Handle security-sensitive paths such as encrypted bank tokens, chat content, per-user data scoping, and authentication across web and mobile.
Develop the AI layer involving LLM tool-calling over financial data, long-term memory, and proactive insights.
Review AI-generated code carefully.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 years of experience as a software engineer, with at least 3 years spent shipping production TypeScript and Node backends.
Prior professional experience shipping work at a company handling money, bank data, or card data.
Advanced proficiency in PostgreSQL including live data migrations, indexes, transactions, and query plans.
Practical experience with asynchronous systems such as idempotency, retries, webhook deduplication, and handling partial job failures.
Demonstrated security focus regarding personally identifiable information, encryption at rest, authentication tokens, and least privilege principles.
Past solo ownership of production environments including on-call duties, error tracking, and writing root-cause analyses.
Daily utilization of AI coding tools with a clear understanding of their limitations.
Excellent written English proficiency for pull request descriptions and incident write-ups.

Nice to Have

Production experience with Plaid webhooks, item re-authentication, and transaction sync cursors.
Deployment of LLMs in production covering tool-calling, prompt evaluation, cost control, and latency control.
Familiarity with Next.js App Router and React Server Components.
Knowledge of SMS or messaging compliance and Stripe subscription billing.
Experience with Expo and React Native.
