Role Overview

The Working Student – AI & Operations position gives students a chance to gain hands-on experience using modern artificial intelligence to solve daily operational problems. This role sits inside the Engineering team and partners directly with Business Operations, Product Managers, and Engineers. By creating and refining AI agents, the person in this role helps reduce manual tasks so staff can work faster and improve patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Connect business workflows with technical execution by turning operational needs into clear technical requirements.
Build, test, and improve AI agent capabilities using prompt engineering and modern artificial intelligence methods like structured prompting and iteration.
Develop lightweight automations and integrations connecting the AI agent to core tools used by operational staff daily.
Test agent accuracy systematically, record observations, and measure performance upgrades to ensure long-term reliability.
Work alongside Operations, Product, Data, and Platform teams to handle ad-hoc requests and support ongoing process enhancements.

Requirements

Current enrollment as a student in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
Fluency in the German language.
Foundational coding abilities, such as Python knowledge, for creating simple scripts and automations.
Hands-on interest in experimenting with large language models, artificial intelligence applications, and prompt engineering.
Analytical problem-solving skills to separate real-world workflows into logical steps.
Strong communication skills to converse with non-technical colleagues and gather requirements.
High initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn and experiment rapidly.

Nice to Have

Prior knowledge of AI or agent frameworks and platforms like Vertex AI or OpenAI.
Curiosity regarding digital health, healthcare settings, business operations, and process optimization.
