Actian is seeking a remote Vector Database Senior Sales Engineer to drive complex AI-focused software sales and mentor global technical teams. Key Responsibilities

Partner with the sales team as the primary technical authority for complex, AI-focused software transactions.
Lead deep technical discussions, architect sophisticated solutions, and showcase Vector database capabilities in competitive situations.
Guide the execution of enterprise-scale proof-of-concepts alongside customers and partners.
Map Actian vector-first and multi-model database capabilities to customer AI and machine learning challenges.
Provide authoritative competitive analysis against specialized vector database vendors.
Elevate the broader sales engineering organization by offering architectural guidance and technical mentoring.
Collaborate seamlessly across global regions and time zones with sales, product, engineering, and customer success teams.

Requirements

Deep, hands-on expertise in vector databases such as Milvus and Qdrant, alongside emerging vectorized database technologies.
Proven track record of selling advanced database and data analytics solutions.
Broad experience spanning relational, analytics, and multi-model database systems.
Comprehensive understanding of the Vector AI development landscape, emerging enterprise AI data infrastructure patterns, and RAG architectures.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both C-level executives and technical audiences.
