Staff Software Engineer: Agentic Factory and Operations Software
About this role
You will design, build, and ship full-stack features across the enterprise resource planning platform, company intranet, and internal operational tools. The work involves creating robust backend services and responsive React and TypeScript interfaces for domains like inventory, procurement, and production tracking, alongside integrating AI-driven capabilities such as natural-language search and document summarization.
Amperesand is reinventing power infrastructure hardware and software to support modern energy demand driven by AI factories and electric vehicles. This position exists to build scalable software infrastructure for advanced manufacturing and operations, requiring close collaboration with product, design, and domain expert teams. Ideal candidates are self-starters with high agency, strong product judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
What you will do
- Design and deliver full-stack features across the ERP platform, intranet, and internal operational tools.
- Build and scale backend services in Go to support critical manufacturing and supply chain workflows.
- Create responsive and performant web interfaces in React and TypeScript for complex operational data.
- Integrate AI-powered features such as natural-language search and document understanding directly into products.
- Maintain and improve existing software products in production to support internal stakeholders and manufacturing operations.
What you need
- Demonstrated experience designing and shipping full-stack features across the entire software stack.
- Proficiency in building backend services using Go and web interfaces using React and TypeScript.
- Experience working with enterprise software domains such as ERP, inventory, procurement, or supply chain.
- Ability to integrate LLM providers or AI services into production systems with attention to latency and cost.
- Strong sense of ownership, product judgment, and pragmatism in building reliable software.
