This position is based out of the San Francisco headquarters with remote flexibility, perfectly suited for an experienced algorithm developer seeking total ownership over mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the research, evaluation, and selection of state-of-the-art computer vision, deep learning, and spatial navigation methodologies.
Develop or integrate deep learning and classical computer vision algorithms to extract semantic information from physical environments.
Design and own a rigorous benchmarking framework to continuously evaluate internal code against off-the-shelf and vendor technologies.
Drive performance tuning for edge deployment to guarantee tracking algorithms run with low latency and high reliability on constrained compute architectures.
Collaborate closely with infrastructure and user interface engineers to manage data products, render maps, and track assets.
Mentor junior engineers, establish best practices, and contribute to architecture discussions and technical strategy.

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of professional algorithm and software development experience with significant depth in applied research, computer vision, or robotics.
Expertise in modern C++ (C++14 or later) and Python.
Demonstrated history of successfully transitioning artificial intelligence model prototypes from PyTorch or TensorFlow into scalable, real-time production systems.
Hands-on experience with ROS1 or ROS2, Visual SLAM, 3D reconstruction, and mapping architectures.
Experience in deploying semantic segmentation and object detection in real-world environments.
Familiarity with multi-view geometry, camera calibration, and sensor fusion combining vision with IMU and GNSS.
