About this role

Point Digital Finance is building a category-defining category in home equity and modernizing a lending platform to make homeownership more accessible. This leadership position owns both the core infrastructure practice and a newly formed AI Enablement function, managing the reliability, delivery, and cloud foundations required for a regulated financial business. The incoming leader will build the central hub that partners directly with corporate functions and operations teams to automate complex workflows using modern agentic solutions and LLM-based architectures.

This dual-mandate role exists to shape how the entire organization applies automation and AI to everyday financial processes, operating at the intersection of platform engineering and business enablement. A strong candidate brings extensive infrastructure leadership alongside demonstrated success in deploying production-grade AI automations, balancing technical rigor with the cross-functional communication needed to earn trust across legal, compliance, and finance teams.

What you will do

  • Lead the infrastructure platform and shared-services organization while driving key initiatives across SRE and platform functions.
  • Manage system reliability, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform-based infrastructure-as-code, multi-cloud platforms, containerization, and SOC 2 compliance.
  • Stand up and operate the AI Enablement hub, establishing sanctioned platforms, guardrails, and reusable technical components.
  • Partner with corporate functions and operations to design and deploy agentic AI solutions, including LLM agents, tool calling, RAG, and workflow orchestration.
  • Collaborate with IT and Security to maintain safe data-handling boundaries and appropriate access controls for sensitive operations.
  • Drive adoption of shipped tools by defining success metrics, establishing baselines, and measuring impact on cycle times and loan costs.
  • Define multi-quarter technical roadmaps aligned with measurable business outcomes and adapt based on user feedback.
  • Set architectural standards and review engineering and automation work using technical fluency in languages like Python.

What you need

  • Over 10 years of experience in DevOps, platform, SRE, or infrastructure engineering with strong technical depth.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading and growing engineering teams, encompassing hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated track record of shipping AI automations to production, including LLM agents, tool calling, RAG, and workflow orchestration.
  • Proven ability to tie infrastructure and automation work to quantifiable business outcomes.
  • Production proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, CI/CD, containerization via Docker and Kubernetes, and at least one major cloud platform.
  • Strong background in observability and incident management using tools such as Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, or PagerDuty.
  • Technical fluency to guide and review engineering work in languages like Python.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with non-engineering stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Built a new function or team from zero in a high-growth, high-ambiguity environment.
  • Fintech or other regulated-industry experience, including familiarity with PII handling and SOC 2.
  • Process-improvement or RPA partnership experience.
  • Lending or mortgage operations domain knowledge.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans with FSA and HSA options.
  • Unlimited paid time off and 10 company holidays.
  • Fully paid parental leave, including transition time with flexible hours.
  • Meaningful equity ownership.
  • 401K retirement plans, guaranteed life insurance, and disability coverage.
  • Monthly stipends for internet, mobile, and wellness, plus home office reimbursement and company hardware.
