Role Overview

Trace3 seeks a Data Architect to join the Data and Analytics Services team for a full-time remote role based in Atlanta, GA. The position blends hands-on architecture, technical leadership, and client-facing consulting to help organizations design, modernize, and operationalize data platforms supporting analytics and artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design of modern data architectures across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
Translate business, analytics, and AI requirements into durable technical architectures and roadmaps.
Establish platform-native capabilities for batch, streaming, and incremental data processing.
Facilitate discovery sessions, architecture workshops, and stakeholder working sessions with clients.
Provide technical direction and mentorship to data engineers, analysts, and client teams.
Design governance models, security frameworks, and operational monitoring requirements.

Requirements

Minimum of 8 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, analytics engineering, or technical consulting.
Hands-on production experience with at least two of the following platforms: Snowflake, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.
Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enterprise or large-scale cloud data platforms.
Strong knowledge of data modeling, data integration, lakehouse patterns, and data governance.
Proficiency with SQL and Python for code review and guidance.
Experience with data pipeline orchestration, CI/CD, source control, and automated testing.
Willingness and ability to travel periodically for client engagements and team meetings.
