Role Overview

Augmodo is hiring a Software Engineer to oversee the logic behind its spatial data ingestion and conflation engine. The professional in this role will construct pipelines that convert raw edge data into accurate insights for clients.

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain versioned data pipelines for ingesting and conflating retail data, such as matching computer vision detections to master product catalogs.
Guarantee that data outputs delivered to customer-facing dashboards achieve high standards for reliability and accuracy.
Apply a hybrid AI strategy by utilizing rules-based normalization and RegEx for bounded tasks, alongside integrating LLMs for complex data matching and entity resolution.
Architect scalable and cost-effective solutions tailored for massive retail environments.
Manage the lifecycle of data schemas and pipeline logic to support rapid iteration.

Requirements

Extensive background in building reliable, staged pipelines for complex ingestion tasks.
Practical experience in entity resolution and conflation to merge disparate data sources into a unified record.
Familiarity with LLMs and prompt engineering combined with a pragmatic approach favoring heuristics or regex when appropriate.
Strong engineering rigor centered on versioning code and data schemas.

Nice to Have

Background in the physical product domain, including retail, logistics, supply chain, SKUs, UPCs, and physical inventory data.
Experience working with spatial data, such as GIS, LIDAR, or computer vision metadata.
