Role Overview

Beyond Sports is hiring a Software Architect - Machine Learning in Budapest. This position involves serving as a specialist technical authority to guide the architecture, strategy, and implementation of machine learning products and platforms. The professional will collaborate with engineering teams, tech leads, and product squads to design solutions that process live sports data and support immersive digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Shape technical direction and architecture for machine learning products and platforms
Design intelligent systems supporting trajectory prediction, motion synthesis, and real-time data processing
Build proofs of concept and review model deployment and inference pipelines
Ensure technical solutions remain scalable, reusable, and maintainable across engineering squads
Partner with multidisciplinary teams including machine learning engineers, tech leads, and product groups

Requirements

Professional background in software architecture, machine learning engineering, or technical leadership
Direct experience deploying production machine learning systems, including serving, monitoring, and retraining
Hands-on expertise building and training deep learning models using PyTorch
Working knowledge of MLOps tools, CI/CD workflows, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
Familiarity with sequence models or generative models applied to technical domains

Nice to Have

Familiarity with real-time systems, 3D graphics pipelines, or motion synthesis
Experience utilizing game engines such as Unity
Interest in team sports or football
