Role Overview

Applied Intuition is hiring a Senior Technical Recruiter to join its defense segment recruiting team in Washington, D.C. The position focuses on attracting, evaluating, and hiring engineering and technical talent across cleared and non-cleared labor pools for product, engineering, growth, and operations departments.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute recruiting strategies to source and hire engineers and technical staff with defense-relevant expertise.
Collaborate with engineering leaders and program managers to define hiring requirements and workforce planning across domestic locations.
Utilize AI and agentic coding tools to automate recruitment workflows and boost hiring productivity.
Conduct structured interview loops to measure technical competence, problem-solving skills, and mission alignment.
Cultivate talent networks within defense-adjacent communities and manage candidate pipelines.
Provide leadership with metrics on funnel performance, pass-through rates, and time-to-fill for cleared and non-cleared roles.
Maintain a high-quality candidate experience while representing the company's mission in the defense space.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of professional technical recruiting experience, including hiring for engineering talent.
Completion of a Bachelor's degree.
Strong candidate sourcing abilities.
Demonstrated business partnership skills with the capacity to influence stakeholders using data.
Ability to handle complex searches in a fast-paced environment with changing program priorities.
High ownership mindset and autonomy in operations.

Nice to Have

Background in recruiting software or systems engineers specializing in autonomy, robotics, embedded systems, or defense platforms.
