About this role

Defense and intelligence organizations in Australia and New Zealand frequently struggle to leverage high-frequency earth observation data for mission-critical decision-making. To solve this, the pre-sales team designs complex geospatial solutions that demonstrate the value of imaging satellite constellations to government stakeholders.

In this role, you will act as a senior technical advisor and trusted partner, crafting technical responses to tenders and proposals while collaborating with sales, product management, and customer success. Your work directly bridges technical capabilities with strategic customer needs, helping defense agencies overcome pressing operational challenges using advanced remote sensing data and emerging technologies.

The ideal candidate brings extensive technical experience supporting the defense sector and a strong background in geographic information systems. Someone who excels at communicating complex system architecture to both technical and executive audiences will thrive in this remote environment.

What you will do

  • Architect and deliver solution demonstrations and presentations highlighting the technical capabilities and value of company offerings.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers' technical and management staff to serve as a senior technical advisor.
  • Craft technical responses to tenders, requests for information, requests for proposals, and unsolicited proposals.
  • Partner with sales colleagues to drive technical strategy across customer and prospect account plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including customer success, product management, and business development.
  • Represent customer needs to sales leadership by communicating forecasts, pipeline opportunities, deal reviews, and customer feedback.
  • Act as a mentor to team members and lead training to drive their development.

  • Have at least 6 years of experience supporting the Australia and/or New Zealand Defence and Intelligence community in a technical capacity.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
