Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer focused on Security and Infrastructure, the candidate protects a platform handling highly sensitive workflows across AI training, expert networks, and enterprise integrations. This technical role centers on designing and implementing resilient infrastructure rather than managing standard commercial security tools. The position requires working in-person from the San Francisco office, moving quickly, and leveraging AI internally for threat analysis, debugging, and system design.

Key Responsibilities

Construct systems to detect and react to genuine security events across the entire technology stack.
Automate manual security procedures by writing programmatic and scalable solutions.
Fortify cloud production environments spanning AWS, GCP, container technologies, and networking.
Architect and enforce robust access control mechanisms for internal teams, domain experts, and customers.
Embed security validations natively into software development workflows without impeding deployment velocity.
Manage incident response operations entirely, ranging from initial threat detection to final resolution.
Secure unique artificial intelligence surfaces, including model interaction layers and sensitive data flows.
Engineer human-in-the-loop platforms utilized directly in AI training and model evaluation.
Develop foundational infrastructure and internal tooling deployed across the organization.
Deliver full-stack features that directly influence customer utility and frontier model performance.

Requirements

Possess two to seven years of professional experience building software applications or security systems.
Demonstrate strong coding capabilities in Python, TypeScript, or Go.
Bring practical experience working within cloud computing environments, covering IAM, networking, and containers.
Demonstrate the capability to spot vulnerabilities directly within system architecture and source code.
Show proficiency in creating and maintaining signal-driven monitoring and alerting infrastructure.
Maintain comfort taking full ownership of production incidents when they occur.
Demonstrate flexibility to shift smoothly between dedicated security tasks and general engineering duties.

Nice to Have

Background working within fast-scaling startup environments or high-output engineering departments.
Previous exposure to machine learning systems, data pipelines, or AI model evaluation workflows.
Familiarity with offensive security tactics and techniques.
Prior experience creating developer tools that other software engineers rely on daily.
Demonstrated history of designing and shipping brand new systems from scratch into production environments.
