About this role
Scaling autonomous commercial operations requires robust horizontal infrastructure that can seamlessly coordinate fleet management and ride-hailing systems. The Mission Planning team at Waymo is tackling this challenge by building critical tooling that underpins the entire commercialization effort, bridging software services with real-world operational demands.
In this Warsaw-based role, the engineer will develop cross-cutting solutions that connect cloud backends, mobile applications, and the core autonomous driver. Daily work involves collaborating across technical and functional domains like product, legal, and operations to deliver scalable infrastructure for growing business needs.
An ideal candidate brings a product mindset and strong backend fundamentals to untangle complex, real-world problems such as world simulation for regression testing. Someone who thrives in a collaborative, hybrid environment and enjoys partnering with non-technical teams will find significant impact here.
