Role Overview

The Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and deploy large-scale cloud services while collaborating with globally distributed teams. This role suits professionals who combine strong technical skills in Python and cloud technologies with a dedication to engineering excellence and customer success.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop robust, high-performance, and resilient cloud-based services utilizing microservices architectures across both containerized and serverless environments.

Practice strong software engineering disciplines, including test-driven design, unit testing, automation, secure coding practices, and open-source software compliance.

Mentor fellow engineers and oversee the complete lifecycle of software delivery, encompassing design, documentation, code reviews, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.

Engage with product management and customer support to gather insights, address customer feedback, and drive development activities toward successful outcomes.

Foster an open environment focused on collaboration, transparency, innovation, and teamwork across diverse time zones and cultures.

Requirements

Professional experience as a full stack software engineer within an agile software development life cycle setup.

Strong technical expertise with Python as the principal programming language, alongside proficiency in SQL and cloud technologies.

Hands-on familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Test-Driven Design.

Experience building and deploying large-scale, high-performance cloud-based services on Amazon Web Services.

Ability to work effectively with both cloud back-end and front-end technologies.

Nice to Have

Practical experience using Cursor AI and alternative AI-assisted development tools to speed up delivery while upholding quality, security, and maintainability standards.

Working knowledge of various relational databases such as MySQL or Postgres, and NoSQL databases including Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Document DB, and DynamoDB.
