Checkout.com is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I for its Paris office. The position involves joining the Identity Verification Team to build innovative products for verifying individual and business identities globally. The professional in this role will use generative AI, computer vision, and orchestration technologies to deploy intelligent solutions while collaborating with product, DevOps, and data teams.

Key Responsibilities

Drive the design and development of innovative, complex, and scalable applications for identity verification within microservices.
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of new and existing features from conceptualization to production deployment and monitoring.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments including engineering, product, and risk to maximize the impact of data initiatives.
Write clean, maintainable, testable, and extendable code on high-impact systems while maintaining high resilience and service levels.
Mentor junior team members and support their technical development.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
More than 5 years of experience as a software engineer working with complex, large-scale applications.
Proficiency in C# .NET or Python with backend or full stack experience.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
Experience working in agile environments under tight deadlines.
Problem-solving abilities for independent and team-based work.
AI proficiency or curiosity to adopt new technology for productivity.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of payments or financial systems.
