Role Overview

Applied Intuition is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Axion Data team in Sunnyvale. The position focuses on developing edge applications and cloud data engines that handle video data and machine learning workflows. Employees are expected to work primarily from the Sunnyvale office five days a week.

Key Responsibilities

Build data pipelines optimized for running machine learning models.
Scale high-fidelity labels and reduce annotation costs through data engine architecture updates.
Automate quality assurance, labeling, and data discovery by integrating foundation models.
Utilize hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop testing methods.
Collaborate with Department of Defense customers to gather requirements and handle triage during field events.

Requirements

Five or more years of relevant professional experience.
A Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Knowledge of modern machine learning infrastructure, data-centric AI, and running GPU workloads at scale.
Experience building databases or microservices for data-focused software.
United States citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Nice to Have

Full-stack development capabilities using Python, Golang, React, TypeScript, or similar technologies.
Familiarity with Postgres, Docker, Kubernetes, and Opensearch.
Practical background working with vision-language models and large language models for automated data tasks.
Previous exposure to robotics perception or autonomous driving fields.
Experience implementing human-in-the-loop systems, auto-labeling, or active learning.
