This senior team member will directly advance the analytics engine powering the core product by productizing AI, machine learning, and data analysis systems. Working alongside engineers, data scientists, and researchers, the incoming developer designs and optimizes distributed computing architecture and data-intensive software features.

What you will do
- Advance the state-of-the-art analytics engine that powers the core product.
- Productize artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analysis capabilities across the platform.
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve high-performance computing tools, techniques, and architecture.
- Collaborate with a diverse group of engineers, data scientists, and research staff to develop new features.
- Solve novel technical problems spanning software engineering, data visualization, and scientific computing.
What you need
- Possess at least 5 years of professional experience building scientific or quantitative data-intensive software.
- Demonstrate expertise in the scientific Python stack, object-oriented programming, and test-driven development.
- Write vectorized code and apply machine learning methods effectively in production environments.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Architect, maintain, and optimize distributed, parallel computing systems.
- Stay current with the evolving toolset for machine learning and AI operations.
- Design scalable, performant solutions while prioritizing code quality, maintainability, and testability.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree (MSc or Ph.D.) in a STEM field
- Thorough knowledge of the Linux operating system
- Experience with Celery and MongoDB
