Role Overview

RevenueCat is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Agents to work remotely on a full-time basis in the Americas. This position suits an experienced developer who wants to build sophisticated AI systems that manage billions of dollars and support hundreds of millions of end users.

Key Responsibilities

Build and ship advanced agentic features like Rico and the AI Paywall Editor to thousands of developers.
Shape foundational agent infrastructure including orchestration, tool execution, context management, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop controls.
Scope, prioritize, and drive rollouts from idea to post-launch improvements in partnership with the Product team.
Write high-quality, well-tested code, debug issues methodically, and help raise the engineering bar through feedback and mentorship.
Talk directly with customers to understand how work lands and debug issues across frontend, backend, and data.

Requirements

8+ years of experience shipping production systems.
Proven track record of building agents that others use, along with surrounding systems for tool use, structured output, context management, evaluation, and orchestration.
Strong backend fundamentals with a focus on building reliable, observable, and secure systems.
Experience shipping meaningful user-facing features to production, tracking adoption, and iterating over time.
Ability to familiarize quickly with unfamiliar code, think like a founder, and thrive in an ambiguous, self-directed environment.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with subscription business models, app stores, or developer tools.
Experience specifically with OpenAI or Anthropic APIs.
Experience using observability frameworks like Langfuse or LangChain.
Experience building Slack integrations or contributing to open source AI/ML tooling.
Background maintaining systems at scale.
