Measure system performance and build evaluation pipelines backed by empirical evidence.
Design secure systems that safely handle attacker-influenced data across thousands of customer tenants.
Operate reliable and observable production code that handles model limitations and latency.
Review code, share learnings about LLM development, and contribute to engineering design reviews.

Requirements

Six or more years of professional software engineering experience with production backend systems.
Practical experience building LLM applications covering tool use, structured output, prompt design, and evaluation.
Understanding of non-deterministic behavior, testing, and debugging in LLM-based systems.
Backend fundamentals including APIs, background jobs, queues, concurrency, relational databases like Postgres, and data stores like Redis.
Proficiency in at least one backend language with the ability to learn new ones quickly, such as Ruby on Rails.
Security awareness regarding untrusted input, access control, and data isolation between tenants.
Experience working within public cloud environments like AWS or Azure.
Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Claude Code.
Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

Background in a Security Operations Center, incident response, threat hunting, or detection engineering.
