Role Overview

Endor Labs is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer (SDET) to join the engineering team in Bengaluru, India. This professional will drive the reliability, scalability, and security of advanced application security platforms, making it an ideal opportunity for engineers with extensive quality assurance background.

Key Responsibilities

Own and direct the complete quality strategy for product features from the initial design phase through final release.
Build, design, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and robust test suites.
Execute deep manual and exploratory testing focusing on complex security use cases.
Embed automated tests into continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines for reliable releases.
Partner with engineering, product, and DevOps departments to establish quality benchmarks and clear acceptance criteria.
Investigate, debug, and determine root causes for intricate issues utilizing logs, metrics, and observability platforms.
Assist with release operations, regression cycles, build validations, and readiness for production.
Utilize artificial intelligence tools like Claude and Cursor to boost debugging, test generation, and development speed.
Champion shift-left testing methodologies and foster quality ownership across multiple teams.

Requirements

Possess five to eight years of professional background in software engineering or quality assurance.
Demonstrate proficiency in coding languages including Python, Java, or Go.
Bring practical experience in creating or utilizing testing frameworks such as Pytest, TestNG, or JUnit.
Understand continuous integration and deployment systems like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
Familiarity with Git version control alongside package and build tools including pip, Maven, or npm.
Solid knowledge of REST APIs and experience conducting tests via Postman.
Background working with major cloud computing environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Proven troubleshooting capabilities utilizing platforms like Kibana or Splunk for log analysis.
Knowledge of containerization tools and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and Docker.
Interest or prior experience within the cybersecurity and application security domain.
Demonstrated capability to use AI tooling for enhancing software engineering workflows.
