About this role

Traditional CI systems struggle to keep pace with modern AI agents that write code and iterate far more frequently than human developers. Chainguard is forming a new team to rebuild continuous integration specifically for agentic development workflows, solving the friction caused by queues, repeated toolchain installations, and slow feedback loops.

As the Senior Product Manager for AI CI/CD, this person will own the 0-to-1 product strategy and roadmap, guiding an unreleased offering from internal production usage to a commercially adopted tool. The ideal candidate brings deep technical judgment regarding developer tooling and CI bottlenecks, combined with a pragmatic approach to scoping, user research, and cross-functional execution.

What you will do

  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for agent-focused continuous integration.
  • Drive zero-to-one product development by establishing structure and prioritizing features for unreleased tools.
  • Engage directly with design partners running large agent fleets to gather feedback and translate needs into product priorities.
  • Own the end-to-end developer experience, ensuring straightforward configuration, adoption, and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with engineering, experience, and product marketing on positioning, documentation, pricing, and launch timing.
  • Partner across cross-functional teams to keep a small group aligned amidst shifting technical landscapes.

What you need

  • Bring 5 or more years of product management experience focused on developer-facing, infrastructure, or security products.
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience building agent tools, such as coding agents, agent frameworks, MCP servers, or evaluation systems.
  • Possess a deep understanding of CI mechanics including builds, tests, caches, runners, and the specific causes of pipeline bottlenecks.
  • Show a proven track record of taking a technical product from an early concept through launch and iteration.
  • Communicate effectively through written documents and collaborate smoothly with deeply technical engineering teams.

Nice to have

  • Run coding agents in production at real volume or build systems to prevent them from causing errors.
  • Experience with developer platforms, build systems, remote execution, or hosted development environments.
  • Experience with containers, Kubernetes, registries, or other cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Background building security products for developers without impeding their velocity.
  • Experience serving both individual developers and large enterprises simultaneously.

Benefits

  • Flexible & Remote-First Culture with monthly stipend for coworking spaces, phone and internet costs
  • Stock options with 10 years to exercise and participation in secondary offerings
  • 100% covered health, vision and dental insurance premiums for employees and dependents
  • Flexible Time Off
  • 18 weeks paid parental leave for birthing parents and 12 weeks for non-birthing parents
