Role Overview

Andercore is hiring a Senior Product Engineer in Berlin to design, build, and maintain full-stack solutions that power digital trade and supply chain operations. The role involves managing complete business problems from initial discussions through to production deployment. The engineer will collaborate closely with product teams to create reliable data models, services, user interfaces, and agentic workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Own entire business problems from the first conversation through to production deployment, including supplier pricing infrastructure.
Develop backend services for inventory, orders, pricing, and external integrations with suppliers, customers, and logistics providers.
Create AI agents along with their supporting tools and APIs, ensuring safety through validation, audit trails, and human oversight.
Design and construct user interfaces for commercial teams to monitor, correct, and approve actions proposed by AI agents.
Process unstructured external data, such as stock feeds and price lists, into reliable information for the organization.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of LLM-driven workflows within production environments.
Drive technical decisions, document trade-offs, and mentor colleagues through code reviews and pairing.
Participate in hiring processes and establish engineering standards.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of professional experience building and running production software with active users.
Strong backend expertise in Java, Kotlin, C#, or Go, with a willingness to work specifically in Java and Spring Boot.
Experience designing distributed, event-driven systems that emphasize data correctness and failure management.
Practical knowledge of PostgreSQL and AWS.
Ability to deliver full-stack solutions by building frontends using TypeScript and React.
Strong product sense to understand user needs, ask relevant questions, and translate vague challenges into structured plans.
Background operating within fast-growing companies amidst shifting priorities.

Nice to Have

Practical experience building applications with Large Language Models or agent frameworks.
Background working in domains such as marketplaces, supply chain, fintech, or trading where data accuracy is critical.
