The Senior Product Engineer will operate with high autonomy, taking ownership of the entire development lifecycle, from understanding the customer problem to deploying the final software solution. This individual will be instrumental in shaping the product direction by translating direct customer feedback into concrete engineering tasks and technical specifications. The work involves owning the full stack, including the user interface, backend infrastructure, and integrating advanced AI capabilities.

What you will do
- The engineer will own the entire stack, from the customer-facing interface to the underlying infrastructure.
- This involves building the core interface customers use daily, focusing on leading frontend architecture using React and TypeScript.
- Responsibilities include designing robust APIs and managing backend systems, including PostgreSQL and asynchronous workflows.
- The role requires shipping complete features end-to-end, which includes integrating AI-powered components built on LLM APIs and prompt engineering.
- The engineer must serve as the engineering voice by actively participating in customer calls to define product requirements.
- They will be responsible for leveraging AI across all stages of development, using it for reasoning, testing, and building solutions.
- This includes staying current on frontier models and incorporating new capabilities into the product.
What you need
- Candidates must possess at least six years of experience building full-stack applications utilizing TypeScript and Node.js.
- Strong backend proficiency is required, specifically in designing APIs, working with PostgreSQL, and managing background jobs and async workflows.
- Solid frontend skills with React are essential for developing the customer-facing product.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS and/or GCP, including familiarity with services like S3 and media pipelines, is necessary.
- A proven track record in building AI-driven applications, such as prompt engineering or working with LLM APIs, is beneficial.
- The candidate must be capable of independently leading projects from initial concept through to launch.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, coupled with a keen attention to detail, are required.
