Role Overview

Possible Finance is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to act as the first dedicated owner of machine learning infrastructure in Seattle, WA. The position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring three days per week in the downtown office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement a shared feature store to allow safe experimentation without touching production
Improve real-time model response speeds
Establish drift monitoring systems to detect model degradation before customer impact
Consolidate deployment tooling into a single reliable pipeline for shipped and experimental models
Establish long-term processes and standards for the machine learning function

Requirements

Deep, hands-on experience building and operating machine learning infrastructure including feature stores, model serving, and monitoring systems in production
Demonstrated track record of solving ambiguous, undefined problems without an existing playbook
Strong proficiency in Python, AWS, and Databricks with knowledge of the MLOps tooling landscape
Ability to hold oneself accountable to a high standard of work
Experience collaborating cross-functionally with data scientists and engineers
Self-starter mindset capable of building a role from scratch
