About this role
Motive builds an integrated platform that combines AI with tools for safety, operations, and finance teams to manage physical operations. The Deal Desk team is seeking a Senior GTM AI Engineer to build and own practical AI-powered workflows, automations, and agents that improve how Sales and Go-To-Market operations function. This role exists to identify bottlenecks in Deal Desk processes and transform stakeholder challenges into scalable, repeatable internal tools.
The person in this role will drive the full development lifecycle for internal AI solutions, from initial prototyping and proof-of-concept creation to production scaling and beta testing. Responsibilities include designing human-in-the-loop validation, integrating enterprise APIs securely, and managing compute costs while balancing model performance. An ideal candidate brings a background in Deal Desk or RevOps, coupled with strong technical skills in scripting, SQL, Python basics, and prompt engineering using modern foundational models.
What you will do
- Operate with a continuous focus on identifying Deal Desk bottlenecks that can be automated with AI to improve stakeholder experience.
- Design robust human-in-the-loop validation, audit trails, and fallback rules for Deal Desk agents to ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies and pricing approval matrices.
- Own the full development lifecycle of prototyping, scaling, beta testing, and maintaining internal AI tools for GTM and Sales partners.
- Build agents and workflows using platforms like Glean, Salesforce, Agentforce, ClaudeForce, and n8n.
- Develop front-end applications using tools such as Retool, Cursor, or React while securely integrating enterprise data and APIs.
- Manage production cost envelopes by testing different LLM models to balance performance against token consumption costs.
- Create documentation for launched solutions and train end-users on their proper application.
What you need
- Bring 5 to 7 years of hands-on Deal Desk or RevOps experience solving business challenges with tooling, automations, or AI-enabled workflows.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with CPQ and CLM platforms.
- Possess a strong understanding of AI fundamentals including context windows, token consumption, compute costs, chunking, and performance benchmarks.
- Understand API usage, limitations, rate limits, and data aggregation across multiple platforms.
- Demonstrate proficiency in scripting, SQL, SOQL, and Python fundamentals.
- Show experience leveraging foundational models such as Gemini, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Grok via web interfaces and APIs.
Nice to have
- Experience building agents, workflows, or React-based user interfaces directly within Salesforce
- Familiarity with orchestration layers, MCP, Agent2Agent, and Salesforce-native agent platforms
