About this role

Bridging the gap between traditional software architecture and modern AI systems, Pearl requires a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to address the technical complexities of scaling AI-enabled professional services. The machine learning department builds products centered on personalization, experimentation, and optimization, connecting millions of customers with licensed professionals worldwide.

In this capacity, the engineer will construct backend-heavy full-stack solutions while dedicating the majority of time to backend development in C# and .NET. Responsibilities include building application features for LLMs and AI agents, extending self-optimization capabilities for intake workflows, and collaborating with adjacent teams to ship production-ready code.

The position exists to drive practical improvements in intake experiences and AI product capabilities through specification-driven engineering. Candidates who thrive in this environment are pragmatic problem-solvers with a bias toward action, comfortable owning development across the stack while integrating machine learning workflows into real-world applications.

What you will do

  • Build backend-heavy full-stack solutions to support team initiatives and deliver end-to-end product functionality.
  • Contribute to frontend development using modern web technologies as required by the product.
  • Develop application features and integrations for large language models and AI agents.
  • Extend and support self-optimization features linked to the intake bot and related workflows.
  • Translate requirements into clear, well-scoped specifications before and during implementation.
  • Write maintainable production-quality code and participate in standard testing practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and adjacent engineering teams during planning and technical discussions.

What you need

  • Have at least five years of professional software engineering experience in full-stack roles.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of C# and .NET for building and maintaining scalable backend services.
  • Possess solid front-end experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
  • Show hands-on experience integrating AI and LLM workflows into real software applications.
  • Bring exposure to Python for data analysis, automation, and model development.
  • Demonstrate strong SQL skills for reporting, data querying, and transformation.
  • Communicate effectively in cross-functional settings with upper-intermediate English proficiency or higher.
