Develop internal tooling and testing infrastructure to accelerate team delivery and create agentic workflows.
Own testing strategies across both frontend and backend code shipments.
Design and consume robust REST and WebSocket APIs utilizing solid networking principles.
Maintain stringent security and compliance standards necessary for enterprise and government clients.
Contribute directly to the open-source codebase of Mattermost.

Requirements

Strong full-stack development background working with Go and React, or a comparable technology stack.
Practical experience designing and consuming REST and WebSocket APIs with strong networking fundamentals.
Relational database experience covering PostgreSQL, schema design, and query optimization.
Hands-on, daily fluency in directing AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.
A strong bias toward shipping and owning complex software end-to-end without requiring close supervision.
Legal authorization to work in Canada without current or future sponsorship, along with the ability to obtain necessary government security clearances or meet compliance standards.

Nice to Have

Prior experience building distributed systems or high-availability service architectures.
Familiarity with security requirements specific to enterprise or regulated environments.
Professional background involving defense, intelligence, or critical infrastructure products.
Previous open-source contributions.
Experience working on distributed or remote-first teams.
Experience creating tools, skills, or workflows on top of AI coding agents, including MCP servers or CI-integrated agents.
