The Senior Front-End Software Engineer position at Accesso is based in Auckland, New Zealand, operating on a hybrid schedule with about three days in the Parnell office and two days working from home. Key Responsibilities

Design and ship features across the agentic interface, including tool orchestration, streaming, sandboxed execution, and context window management.
Contribute to the AI layer by working with query and visualisation infrastructure, Pydantic, LangChain4J, and models from OpenAI and Anthropic.
Build and maintain custom datasets, integration packs, and benchmarks that support the data platform.
Provide technical direction to the team by reviewing code, making thoughtful design decisions, and mentoring peers.
Collaborate closely with product stakeholders and customers to understand project goals and translate them into impactful solutions.

Requirements

Bring five or more years of proven engineering experience across different domains and systems.
Ability to break down complex problems into simple, elegant solutions while maintaining customer empathy and strong communication skills.
Fluency or close familiarity with the company's core technology stack, including TypeScript, Java, Python, and SQL.
Experience or familiarity with data systems such as PostgreSQL, DuckDB, and Databricks, as well as platforms like AWS, Datadog, Modal, and LangFuse.
Familiarity with UI development using React, data visualization, and state management tools like Jotai or Redux Toolkit.
Curiosity, humility, a willingness to mentor, and comfort with giving and receiving constructive feedback.

Nice to Have

Comfort with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and Codex.
Background working in or around the cultural, hospitality, or visitor attractions sector.
