Role Overview

BOSS Revolution is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to design and maintain end-to-end data architectures that power data warehouses, large language model applications, and artificial intelligence analytics. The position requires in-person verification in Bogotá and accepts applicants located in LATAM.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery into feature stores, model-training workflows, and real-time inference services.
Build and optimize workflows to extract, store, and retrieve semantic representations of unstructured data for advanced search and retrieval.
Architect analytics and dashboarding solutions that provide natural language query experiences and artificial intelligence insights.
Define and execute processes for prompt engineering, orchestration flows, and model fine-tuning routines for conversational interfaces.
Manage vector data stores and develop indexing methods to support retrieval-augmented generation workflows.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for language-model initiatives and translate them into scalable solutions.
Create and maintain documentation for data processes, workflows, and model deployment routines.
Stay informed about emerging methodologies in data engineering, machine learning operations, and large language model operations.

Requirements

Minimum of eight years of professional experience as a data engineer.
Demonstrated experience using Python for data engineering tasks, transformation, manipulation, and large-scale processing.
Hands-on experience with big data technologies including Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka.
Experience designing data pipelines extracting from relational database management systems, JSON, APIs, and flat files.
Advanced mastery of SQL, PLSQL, business intelligence, data warehouse methodologies, and cloud-based database services like Snowflake or Redshift.
Understanding of software engineering principles, Unix, Linux, Windows operating systems, Agile methodologies, and version control systems.
Interest in business operations and an understanding of how business intelligence systems drive profitability.
Effective oral and written English communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with vector databases such as DataStax AstraDB and building applications using LangChain and LlamaIndex.
Familiarity with Hugging Face Transformers and LLaMA frameworks, including fine-tuning and inference optimization.
Knowledge of machine learning operations tooling and continuous integration pipelines.
