Working directly with strategic global accounts, this person will diagnose operational challenges, architect bespoke AI systems, and guide customers from initial discovery through full value realization.
Operating as a senior applied value engineer, the individual will prototype state-of-the-art AI solutions on the Celonis platform, lead high-stakes proof-of-value projects, and bridge complex technical capabilities with C-suite strategy. The role exists to industrialize enterprise AI for leading companies, turning operational blind spots into clarity while mentoring junior peers and codifying reusable deployment methodologies.
What you will do
- Lead technical discovery sessions to translate complex customer requirements into bespoke enterprise architecture and state-of-the-art AI solutions.
- Execute high-stakes Proof-of-Value projects by architecting secure and scalable LLM or agent systems with advanced RAG, tools, and guardrails.
- Demonstrate business impact to C-suite executives and drive programmatic value realization until agreed-upon adoption thresholds are achieved.
- Leverage deep domain expertise to build industry-specific end-to-end solutions that connect systemic operational bottlenecks to strategic AI deployments.
- Codify successful project implementations into reusable methodologies and globally scalable assets to accelerate time-to-value for future deployments.
- Mentor junior peers and act as a primary product positioning expert for the Celonis Process Intelligence platform.
What you need
- Have at least 5 years of experience in executive-facing presales or value engineering, independently owning technical closes and ROI modeling.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of core operational workflows and industry landscapes such as supply chain or finance.
- Demonstrate software and data engineering proficiency including Python, modular API design, advanced SQL, and scalable data integration using ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Exhibit strong presentation skills for both internal and external stakeholders, capable of conducting whiteboarding sessions and formal executive readouts.
- Hold a Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or have equivalent professional experience.
- Bring native-level or near-native German language proficiency at the C1 or C2 level to facilitate workshops and engage German-speaking clients.
