Scopely is seeking a talented engineer to join Forge, the creative technology and AI team within the in-house creative agency Flamed, based out of the Barcelona office on a hybrid schedule.
Members of this unit build platforms, products, and automation frameworks that empower creative teams to scale content for mobile games played by millions globally. The person in this role will own the entire lifecycle of AI-powered services, partnering closely with artists, producers, and engineers to move quickly through ambiguity and deliver measurable impact across multiple marketing and game teams.
What you will do
- Manage AI products and services from initial discovery and implementation through deployment and continuous monitoring.
- Develop production-ready applications using large language models, AI agents, and modern cloud technologies.
- Prototyping new concepts rapidly to test them with users before scaling successful experiments into maintainable solutions.
- Collaborate directly with creative, production, and engineering departments to translate daily workflows into practical AI tools.
- Guide technical choices within the team architecture while participating in design reviews and evaluating engineering trade-offs.
- Maintain high standards for reliability, security, and observability through rigorous testing, versioning, and monitoring.
What you need
- At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience building and delivering production systems.
- Demonstrated hands-on ability to ship products independently from end to end.
- Practical background in constructing AI-powered applications utilizing language models, orchestration frameworks, or automation tools.
- Solid understanding of standard software architecture, APIs, and modern cloud services.
- Comfort operating under ambiguous conditions while preserving a strict engineering standard.
- Strong communication abilities for partnering across both technical and non-technical groups.
Nice to have
- Experience building internal platforms or developer tools.
- Experience working with multimodal AI, computer vision, or generative media technologies.
- Familiarity with MLOps, evaluation pipelines, and AI observability.
- Background supporting creative production, gaming, content pipelines, or digital asset workflows.
