Role Overview

Farther seeks a Senior Agentic Engineer to develop agentic solutions that handle operational tasks within a regulated wealth management setting. The professional in this position collaborates closely with advisors and operations personnel to identify key workflows, design robust systems, and oversee the complete rollout of AI tools from deployment to user training.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with business stakeholders to discover high-value workflows and create prioritized agentic solutions.
Design and construct production agents that interact with internal data models and third-party vendor platforms.
Implement architectural choices focused on scalability, utilizing standard software engineering methods including testing, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
Develop and maintain integrations linking agents to internal services and external systems.
Ensure production readiness through logging, monitoring, alerting, and evaluation for safe agent behavior.
Direct complex rollouts, train end users, and track adoption metrics to inform future product iterations.
Establish access controls and guardrails appropriate for a regulated financial environment.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience utilizing Python, SQL, HTTP, and AWS.
Demonstrated history of designing scalable software systems.
Practical experience using AI coding tools with an established development workflow.
Professional background in creating AI agents, with preference for Anthropic Claude Agent SDK or Claude Managed Agents.
Comprehensive knowledge of cloud and serverless architectures, with AWS Bedrock AgentCore preferred over alternatives like GCP Vertex AI, Azure AI Foundry, or LangGraph Cloud.
Experience supporting operations functions and collaborating directly with users.
Strong business judgment and an ownership mindset focused on actual adoption and outcomes.

Nice to Have

Background in wealth management, financial services, or capital markets.
Experience working with vendor or custodial financial data.
Prior work with the Model Context Protocol or building tool integrations for large language models.
Familiarity with auditability, compliance, and access control in regulated sectors.
Experience working alongside data knowledge graphs.
