Role Overview

The Robotic Perception Expert will join the AI and Perception team to build the entire perception path for collaborative robot arms. This position involves turning raw sensor inputs into reliable data models for grasping and manipulation while working closely with hardware, control, planning, and manipulation teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design and construct the complete perception pipeline, handling sensor fusion, object detection and tracking, 6D pose estimation, 3D reconstruction, and workspace modeling from camera, depth, and force data.
Translate current perception and manipulation research into functional robotic systems deployed in real environments.
Architect, train, and deploy neural networks for perception tasks within the compute and latency constraints of embedded robotics hardware.
Build and optimize real-time computer vision algorithms using classical vision, 3D geometry, hand-eye calibration, and point-cloud processing.
Implement software in modern C++ and Python with GPU acceleration alongside ROS2 and DDS for high-performance sensor pipelines.

Requirements

Master or PhD degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience building robust perception stacks for human-centric environments.
Strong programming skills in Python and modern C++.
Practical experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
Background in computer vision and sensor fusion, including 3D geometry, RGB-D and force-torque sensing, PCL, and OpenCV.
Practical experience with ROS2 and real-time robotics software.
Perfect command of the English language.

Nice to Have

CUDA proficiency.
Experience with manipulation-oriented perception, including grasp detection, pose estimation, bin picking, or workspace monitoring.
