Role Overview

The Robotic Perception Expert will develop algorithms that process raw camera, depth, and force data for robotic arms. The professional will own the perception stack from architectural design to deployment on physical hardware in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and build the complete perception path from raw sensor input to workspace models for grasp planning and manipulation.
Monitor state-of-the-art research in perception and integrate effective solutions into actual robotic systems.
Design, train, and deploy neural networks for perception within the compute and latency limits of embedded robotic hardware.
Create and optimize real-time computer vision algorithms including classical vision, 3D geometry, hand-eye calibration, and point-cloud processing.
Write perception software using modern C++ and Python with GPU acceleration.
Construct high-performance sensor pipelines utilizing ROS2 and DDS.
Collaborate with hardware, control, planning, and manipulation teams to convert perception data into movement.

Requirements

Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience creating robust perception stacks for environments centered around humans.
Programming proficiency in Python and modern C++.
Practical background using deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
Foundation in computer vision and sensor fusion involving 3D geometry, RGB-D and force-torque sensing, PCL, and OpenCV.
Hands-on experience with ROS2 and real-time robotic software.
Proficiency in the English language.

Nice to Have

Experience with CUDA.
Background in manipulation-oriented perception such as grasp detection, pose estimation, bin picking, or workspace monitoring.
