Research Scientist, Lipid Chemistry
About this role
Conducting daily hands-on laboratory work to synthesize novel organic and lipid polymer chemicals forms the core of this role at GenScript. The chosen scientist will focus on building the proprietary lipid-based drug delivery platform and developing scalable synthetic processes for targeted lipid nanoparticle formulations. Operating within the Innovation Center, the team centers on custom RNA synthesis and delivery formulation services to accelerate healthcare innovations.
Applicants should bring expertise in organic, polymer, or lipid chemistry along with a background in scaling processes from research and development phases toward commercial use. Success in this position requires interpreting complex analytical data from instruments like HPLC, LC-MS, and NMR while maintaining rigorous laboratory standards. Ideal candidates display scientific rigor, a collaborative communication style, and a strong track record of published research or patents.
