Role Overview

NEURA Robotics seeks a specialist to steer the creation and execution of behavior cloning and reinforcement learning algorithms for humanoid platforms. The professional will work alongside the robotics engineering division to boost autonomy, adaptability, and interactive functions on the 4NE1 humanoid system.

Key Responsibilities

Enhance the learning pipeline for robust locomotion and loco-manipulation on the 4NE1 humanoid, covering everything from policy training to verified on-robot deployment.
Research and modify modern methods like behavior foundation models, general motion tracking, and teleoperation for customer and team delivery.
Advance sim-to-real transfer via domain randomization, actuator modeling, and physics alignment to move policies from simulation to physical hardware with minimal gaps.
Combine reinforcement learning and behavior cloning to let robots learn through simulated and real-world interactions.
Partner with controls, hardware, and perception departments to guarantee smooth algorithmic integration with sensors and machinery.
Perform experiments and simulations to test and confirm algorithmic effectiveness across diverse situations.

Requirements

Master's or Ph.D. degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or an adjacent discipline.
Strong coding proficiency in Python and C++, backed by practical background in robotics frameworks like ROS2 and physical robotic hardware.
Practical background in building and releasing reinforcement learning algorithms and behavior cloning for robots, coupled with a deep understanding of humanoid robot dynamics, control theory, and sensor integration.
Practical familiarity with Isaac Lab, Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, and PyTorch.
High-level analytical capabilities and a demonstrated history of delivering innovative robotic solutions, ideally featuring publications or conference and journal contributions.
Excellent communication abilities.
Fluent English proficiency, with good spoken German considered a strong advantage.
